Atom Model Kit for Students

A desk-sized molecular model kit, one per student or pair: hydrogen (white), halogens (green), carbon (black), nitrogen (blue), sulphur (yellow) and oxygen (red) atoms with connectors. The atoms are at accurate relative sizes.

It replaces a bought kit for organic and inorganic chemistry: building molecules, comparing isomers and seeing bond angles.

Design by C3DP on Printables, shared under CC0 1.0 (public domain). The files and photos are the designer's, unchanged.

1. Print each atom file in its colour; supports on the build plate only.
2. Print the connectors in a flexible material (TPU) if you have it, so they bend for double bonds.
3. Students build a list of molecules from their formulas, then draw what they built.
