About this print
A dodecahedron frame that prints flat as a net and folds along its edges into the solid; the sides snap together to hold the shape.
A direct link between a 2D net and a 3D solid: 12 pentagon faces, 30 edges, 20 vertices.
Design by GeekMomProjects on Printables, shared under CC BY 4.0. The files and photos are the designer's, unchanged.
Printing and using it
- Print in PETG; PLA is not flexible enough for the hinges.
- Before folding, students predict the solid and count the faces.
- Fold and snap; then design nets for other solids on paper.
