Fraction Tower

Stacking pieces for 1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6 and 1/8. Each row of pieces makes the same whole, so children can see and feel that two quarters are a half and three thirds are one.

1. Print each fraction in a different colour.
2. Children build the tower and find equal rows: how many sixths make a half?
3. Compare fractions: which is bigger, 1/3 or 1/4? Check with the pieces.
