About this print
A small catapult that prints in one piece, already assembled, and pops up ready to launch. Version 1.1 adds features for education and fixes the print-in-place clearance.
Use it for stored (elastic) energy turning into movement, projectile paths and fair testing: change one thing (angle, pull-back, projectile mass) and measure the distance.
Design by highpoly on Printables, shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. The files and photos are the designer's, unchanged.
Printing and using it
- Print it in one go, no supports. Let it cool before freeing the moving parts.
- Launch small, soft projectiles (pompoms, paper balls) only, away from faces.
- Groups plan a fair test, record distances in a table and plot a graph.
